There were about 30 Livery Companies there and hundreds of school children, who came through in fairly orderly groups and were very interested in everything on show. And very well behaved!
Bill and Jean Skidmore had spent a lot of time sourcing different sorts of wool and brought up a small loom and an electron microscope attached to a laptop so you could see what wool looked like close up; and Woolmark brought samples of woollen cloth and fashion ideas and together these stands told the story of wool from the back of the sheep to the back of the model. Apparently we were the stands that the schools enjoyed most!
